Burton Green is one of the many small villages afflicted by the HS2 proposals. All three of the preferred and alternative routes pass through the village. They have a very active campaign against HS2.
Earlier in July, residents of Burton Green organised a protest march against HS2.
This has had wide coverage, on the BBC, in local newspapers, and even in the business magazine for rail professional, RailPro.
They’ve uploaded several links to Youtube, including footage of the march, and one of the speeches ( part 1, part 2, and part 3).
