There are only four more official HS2 Consultation roadshows to come, at Hampton in Arden today, and at sites in Birmingham for the rest of the week.
However, there will be a number of shadow roadshows in Warwickshire. These will be at the following places:
Middleton : 18th June, Middleton Village Hall, 1.00-6.00pm.
Coleshill : 24th-25th June, Coleshill Market Hall, 10.00am-4.00pm
Newton Regis: 26th June, Church entrance, 11.00am – 5.00pm.
Polesworth : 2nd July – at Polesworth Carnival, Station Rd playing fields
Austrey: 4th July, Austrey Baptist Church 2.30-7.00pm
Kingsbury: Date and venue to be confirmed.
Dominic Ferro, the North Warwickshire Council Spokesperson on HS2 said:
“The HS2 rail link will significantly affect areas of North Warwickshire and the Borough Council has formally opposed the development. With only one official event organised in the Borough, we have been working with the various North Warwickshire Action Groups to organise these additional roadshows. I would encourage anyone interested to go along and make their views known.”
Just wondered if anyone from Stop HS2 has any comment to make about the threatening letter sent to Nigel Harris, Editor of Rail magazine? I think the sentence: ‘Why don’t you publish your own home address and we will come round and harrass you instead?’ is particularly classy.
Edited by Moderator: Any such letter has nothing to do with Stop HS2. We do not condone or support this sort of behaviour.
