Morgan and Ghani to appear in front of the Lords on Tuesday

On Tuesday, the Lords Economics Affairs Committee will be holding an oral evidence session on HS2.

This is a follow up to their 2015 inquiry on HS2, which concluded that the Government had failed to make a convincing case for HS2 and included 16 questions that needed to be answered.

The session will start at 3.35 with Terry Morgan, the former HS2 chair, as the witness.  This will be followed at 4.30 with witnesses from the Department of Transport: Nusrat Ghani MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State,  Clive Maxwell, Director-General, High Speed and Major Rail Projects Group, and Dr Nick Bisson, Director, HS2 Phase 2 and Northern Powerhouse Rail.

As always, we’ll be live-tweeting from @Penny_Gaines and @JoeRukin.
