HS2 did not set out to fix the issues people and authorities illustrated and pleaded to be fixed.
HS2 not addressing the complexities with the objective of removing the extent of damage and not presenting a fix it but more of a forget it.

Suggest you listen to this year’s first Reith Lecture on BBC Radio 4 about the parallels of failures to diagnose properly and deal with the complexities. HS2 did not address complexities you presented but did avoid addressing these community issues. The Select Committee were wrong to proceed on their remit constraint as it would not fix the extremes and reduce community anguish. MPs now continuing their we can help you approach for votes when they disowned their communities through timidity and blind acceptance of a very poor scheme which is failing to inspire the many communities and people.
