‘Compensation Week’ at HS2 Hybrid Bill Committee

This week, the HS2 Hybrid Bill Committee have decided to focus on compensation. With the Country Land and Business Association and The National Farmers’ Union due to appear for the next three days, there will also be many generic issues to landowners discussed too. Bill Cash MP is due to join them on Tuesday afternoon, with HS2 Action Alliance having the Thursday session. Stop HS2 will be talking about compensation as part of a ‘regional roundup’ on Tuesday 25th November.

The links to watch all the session are below, but please note not all the sessions may happen, if everything has already been covered before then end of the sessions scheduled for particular petitioners.

Despite ‘Parliament Week’, which sees the Transport Select Committee hear from HS2 Ltd Chief Exec Sir David Higgins in Manchester today, supposedly being “A programme of events and activities that connect people across the UK with Parliament and democracy”, there will be no video or audio from this session, making it inaccessible to anyone besides those travelling to Manchester. Oh, the irony!
