HS2 Ltd has recently issued an invitation to tender for the next stages of the proposed High Speed Rail link. There are two separate lots of work – Birmingham to Leeds, and Birmingham to Manchester.
If there is a chance that you will be affected by either of these proposals, you need to get involved now. The original command paper on HS2 says that a single Hybrid Bill would cover the whole route from London, to Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.
Decisions made now will apply to other areas.
If you find you are affected by the Birmingham to Manchester plans, or the Birmingham to Leeds plans, you won’t get a chance to influence things like the Exceptional Hardship Scheme later.
