Yesterday, Stop Hs2 – and no doubt many of our readers – received an email from HS2Enquiries@hs2.org.uk
F.A.O. The Chair
Dear Sir/Madam,
Further to the letter of 28 January 2013, in which Alison Munro, the Chief Executive of HS2 Ltd, invited you to respond to the consultation on Exceptional Hardship Scheme for Phase Two of the HS2 network, I would like to bring to your attention that the consultation is closing on 29 April 2013. Full details of the proposals, consultation documents and ways to respond can be found on the consultation website www.hs2.org.uk.
We encourage you to help shape the Government’s policy by commenting on our proposals. Responses to the consultation can be submitted online http://www.hs2.org.uk/have-
Kind regards
HS2 Public Enquiries Team
We don’t often agree with HS2 Ltd about anything, but we do agree as many people as possible should be replying to the Phase 2 EHS consultation. People affected by the Phase 1 route know about the failings of the existing scheme and these can be pointed out where appropriate.
Quite a few people have been looking in details at the proposal, and guidance on filling it in can be found from them:
- HS2 Ltd “How to respond” webpage
- Warrington Stop HS2 quick guidance notes
- EHS – SOWHAT response guidance
- HS2AA phase 2 EHS consultation response guide (PDF)
The consultation finishes on 29th April, please respond to it.
