Ignoring the consultation responses – again

Dear HS2 Ltd,

I was one of the 413 people/organisations who were missed in your original assessment of the HS2 Consultation. Having read the addendum report to the consultation, I feel you have not simply failed to assess my response once, but twice. I am sure there are likely to be more instances which would show your failure to assess is worse.

But as specific examples the assessment states that;

-No-one mentioned the re-opening of old lines in Q2, even though I did.

-The locations analysis shows that no-one mentioned; Leicester, Loughborough, Wakefield, Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield, Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Chesterfield, Peterborough, Wellingborough, Kettering, Corby, Market Harborough, Doncaster, Sandwell and Dudley

But my first paragraph contained this text;
“….as it is evident that ‘more local trains due to the capacity released via HS2’ must mean a cut in current inter-city services to cities such as; Coventry, Leicester, Loughborough, Sandwell and Dudley, Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield, Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Stoke on Trent, Chesterfield, Peterborough, Wellingborough, Kettering, Corby, Market Harborough, Doncaster and Wakefield.”

I also find it very hard to believe that councils representing Nottingham, Doncaster and Leeds (and Leeds Chamber of Commerce) all filled in their response without mentioning the name of their respective cities once, which your locations analysis suggests.

I am surprised that the 413 missed respondents were not automatically provided with their ID number to check if their response is actually on your website and I now specifically require this ID number and your assurance that my response was included.

Cheers,
Joe Rukin.
