Climate Change March Review

Joe Rukin, Lizzy Williams and Stop HS2 supporters went on Saturday’s Climate Change March.  Here’s what happened…

The Friends of the Earth, the Green Party, members of CPRE were there plus many other groups. Caroline Lucas spoke.

Most people were highly receptive to the Stop HS2 message. Many had thought HS2 was important in helping to combat climate change and appeared amazed at the info they received. The better informed people already knew better.

We distributed about 1500 leaflets and marched from Hyde Park to Westminster with posters. A number of people actually came over and asked for the leaflets. There were plenty of opportunities before and after the rally to discuss the issues.

It was a very useful and interesting day and gave us the opportunity to directly contact influential environmental groups.

See what Climate Change have to say about the march here.
