On Friday last week, Joe Rukin set off from Birmingham to walk Phase 1 of HS2, with Eevie his dog. He’d already walked the entirety of Phase 2.
He is seeing the reality of HS2 preparation works as he travels.
Joe is currently in the Chilterns, and will reach Euston on Monday.
See below for Joe’s latest video
Joe has done a brilliant job in proving just how wasteful HS2 is of the countryside, bio-diversity and people’s lives. It’s as if our history/back story, set in our fields and villages is of no consequence to HS2. I was truly disturbed by the attitude of HS2 Ecologists who expected a Medieval Meadow to spring back to life when they moved it to another site! HS2 Ecologists are clearly entering a phase of fantasy in order to justify themselves.
