I know that HS2 does not affect us in the South East of England, but I agree that HS2 must not go ahead.
That £50 Billion minimum that is being spouted by governments etc. would be more beneficially spent on the national roadwork system. More people would benefit from this in roads being repaired correctly, not just potholes filled.
Roads running west to east being upgraded to dual Carriage ways.
More people would benefit from the road improvements even the local journeys that the majority of people take.
