Following a Freedom of Information request, Speen Area Action Group have found out the current costs of HS2.
This financial year alone, they are spending £25 million of our money.
Spending to 2015 will be £1.15 billion, and up until 2018 will be £3.4 billion. As the Speen website says: “This at a time when swingeing cuts are being made across the board”.
In addition only £15 million has been put aside for the EHS scheme.
