More on the Gagging Bill

The clear opinion in Westminster is that the Transparency of Lobbying, Non-Party Campaigning and Trade Union Administration Bill has been aimed at three campaign groups: 38 degrees, the NUS and Stop HS2.

We’ve just sent out an email to the Stop HS2 mailing list (click here to join it) asking people to contact their MP today, to ask them to vote against the bill. The House of Commons switchboard is 0207 2193000.

Whatever their views on the bill itself, please ask them to vote against the Programme motion: the Programme motion will enable the Government to rush it through Parliament without a committee stage, or enough time to debate it.
