Tomorrow, Warwickshire County Council decides whether to oppose HS2.
They will do that in the knowledge that the Member of Parliament for Warwick and Leamington, Chris White has made public his decision to vote against proposals for HS2. Although HS2 does not pass through Chris White’s constituency, he says it will “bring no benefit to Warwick and Leamington – in fact, quite the opposite.”
There will be a peaceful demonstration against HS2 outside Shire Hall tomorrow, from 8.30am to about 10am, when the meeting starts: please come and let the Warwickshire County councillors know what you think about HS2.
