This week, the Adam Smith Institute were keen to remind the public, in the wake of a survey showing HS2 is considered a waste of money by most people in Birmingham, that all the international evidence shows it would simply suck more stuff to London.

Absolutely agree. This expensive White Elephant needs scrapping, and much needed (£90 billion = true estimate) spent on more national priortiy needs eg NHS, School buildings, Border Controls, Ambulance, Police…. Edward Pawley, retired hospital pharmacist
