820 petitions

The House of Lords HS2 Hybrid Bill website now has a list of the petitions accepted – there were 820 in total.

HS2 Ltd presentation: Next steps – House of Lords With this high number of petitions, and with the House of Lords select committee still to be formally appointed, the current HS2 Ltd timetable looks somewhat optimistic.

Even this Wednesday, after it was known there were over 800 petitions, the timetable HS2 Ltd were using had “April/May – committee receives teach-ins, does site visits and hears locus challenges”.

In contrast, peers in the House of Lords think that the select committee will be meeting until the end of the year, possibly into next year.
