The government has announced that they will be selling HS1, the High Speed train line operating in Kent.
Philip Hammond, Secretary of State for Transport, said “The money generated by this sale will make an early significant contribution to the crucial task of reducing the public sector debt.”
HS1 cost £5.8 billion to build.
