Yorkshire Against HS2 and Wakefield Council are holding the Yorkshire HS2 Alternatives Conference next Friday, 3rd March.
With a range of speakers (including Joe Rukin, councillors and campaigners), a public exhibition and video contributions from MPs it should be an interesting day.
The event starts at 10.45 am (with the exhibition opening earlier) and takes place at Wakefield Town Hall. Entry is free.
The following week, on 9th March campaigners are also organising a large public meeting at the Long Eaton West Park Leisure Centre at 7pm on Thursday the 9th of March.
