Walk HS2 – final stretch for Lizzy Williams

Lizzy Williams has London in sight when she ends Day 20 of Walk HS2 today.

Starting in Amersham, she hopes to finish today at either Chalfont St Giles or hopefully Chalfont St Peter. On Sunday she intends to reach Uxbridge, on Monday she hopes to finish in Acton, on Tuesday it will be Prmirose Hill and on Wednesday, Day 24 of her walk, she will reach the intended destination of HS2, Euston station.

She said “It seems like a long time since I started walking I’m absolutely shattered, though to be honest the most tiring and demoralising thing I’ve done this week was meeting with Transport Secretary, Phillip Hammond. I have been absolutely overwhelmed by the support I have seen from ordinary members of the public as I have walked the route, I have been absolutely shocked at what I have seen and intended the rape that the Government is prepared to commit on our country and I have been absolutely saddened by the desperation of the people I have met who will lose everything they have due to this ill-conceived plan which will help further bankrupt Britain.”
