Lords debate Blank Cheque Bill Today

Today (Tuesday 19 November) is the second reading in the Lords of the High Speed Rail (Preparation) Bill.  This is the main chance for the Lords to debate this legislation authorising the blank cheque HS2.

The bill is a ‘money bill’, which the House of Lords has no powers to amend: committee, report and third reading stages will follow the debate as a fomalty.
