Date set for Stop HS2 National Convention

In February 2011, Stop HS2 held a National Convention for those opposing HS2. Speakers included Professor John Whitelegg of the Green party, Geoffrey Robinson Labour MP for Coventry North West, Pat Seaman of Unite, UKIP MEP Mike Natrass and Rail Author Christian Wolmar.

Along with the press, over 500 people turned up to learn about HS2 and how to fight it. The event was a great sucess, and now with Stage 2 of HS2 announced, it’s time to do it all over again.

Back in 2011, the convention took place at the National Agricultural Centre in Stoneleigh, an agricultural showground which HS2 is planned to go through, and as we see no need to break with tradition, on Saturday 29th June the second Stop HS2 National Convention will be held at the Stafford County Showground, an agricultural showground which HS2 is planned to go through!

More updates will be posted here and to make sure you find out when and how to book, join the Stop HS2 mailing list, but for now put 29th June in your diary.

Anyone with suggestions for workshops or wanting to help, please get in touch!
