Stop HS2 activities this weekend in Warwickshire

Several local HS2 Action Groups are planning activities on the weekend of 20th/21st October – do pop along to one of them if you are in the area.

Saturday 20th October 2012

Kenilworth HS2 Info Day:
Saturday 20th October – Kenilworth School, Leyes Lane, CV8 2DA. 10am to 4pm, details of (new) speaking times below.

11.30am HS2 Mitigation Plans for Warwickshire – Ruth Newsum / Ed Ashcroft (HS2 Ltd)
12.45pm The HS2 Crumbling Business Case – Nigel Hawkins (Adam Smith Institute)
1.45pm What Homeowners and Landowners should be doing – James Del Mar (Knight Frank)
3.00pm It Ain’t Over Yet – Joe Rukin (StopHS2 National Campaign)

Each of these presentations will be followed by a Question and Answer session.

Please note the new speaking time for HS2 Ltd, which was requested by them: they had previously agreed to the originally published speaking time on the publicity flyers.

A Beetle Drive by Cubbington Action Group Against HS2.
The Beetle Drive is for adults and children is in Cubbington Village Hall, Broadway, Saturday 20 October, 2-4.30pm. Entrance £2 (Children £1) includes refreshments and fantastic ‘creepy’ prizes for children. Come and join the fun!

Sun 21 October

Guided Walk, led by Cubbington Action Group against HS2.
The guided 4 mile circular Autumn Walk from Cubbington to Weston traverses
unspoilt countryside around the village that is threatened by HS2, including South
Cubbington Wood. Meet outside the Kings Head, Church Hill, Cubbington at 2.30pm
Sunday Oct 21st – strong shoes or wellies advisable. No dogs are allowed due to
livestock en route.

Free to all but donations appreciate for the campaign. Come and enjoy our countryside!
