The Woodland Trust’s take on HS2.
Hundreds of thousands of people objected to the proposed sell off of woodland by the government, so they decided against it. The Woodland Trust have identified 21 ancient woods which will be damaged or destroyed in the London to Birmingham phase of HS2. How many more will be destroyed if the Y route goes ahead?
If you support ancient woodland, please take part in the HS2 consultation and tell the Government “NO”.
