DfT “Too busy” to mention HS2 roadshows

On the Department for Transport website, there’s a list of HS2 consultation roadshows, for people living along the route.

However, HS2 is not just relevant to people living near the proposed railway: it’s of interest to everyone who is concerned about the government’s proposals to spend £33 billion on a new railway.

There are no off-route roadshows listed on the Department for Transport website although a Milton Keynes paper advertised one for this Friday.

This was discussed on Twitter this morning – and @Voxopp was able to tweet why:

“According to “Colin” at HS2, they are “too busy” to announce Roadshow dates.”

You’ll be glad to note someone at the HS2 Ltd took note of the criticism on Twitter and has found the time now, to make sure the public is properly informed.  They tweeted them.
