Brackley on Wednesday

Buckingham Today is reporting that there will be a demonstration in Brackley tomorrow (Wednesday).

“Residents are expected to protest against the proposals from 3pm when Secretary of State for transport, Philip Hammond will be visiting the town to walk along part of the proposed route”, the paper says.

Andrea Leadsom, MP has arranged a public meeting in the Town Hall from 5pm-6pm, for afterwards.

The STOP HS2 website team, Penny and Joe, were not involved in setting up any demonstrations tomorrow.  The information was forwarded to us after it had been circulated on a private mailing list.

We’ve been told that the organisers of the Brackley demonstration have notified the police.

We sincerely hope everyone involved realises that these demonstrations must be peaceful.  We hope they pass off without incident, and that everyone enjoys their experience of the day.
