Following the resignation yesterday of Jonathan Reynolds as Shadow Rail Minister, Middlesbrough MP Andy McDonald has been appointed as Shadow Transport Minister
In a letter sent to Jeremy Corbyn, Reynolds wrote that he has “enjoyed the role a great deal and particularly the discussions I have had with you personally”: Corbyn is known to be personally opposed to HS2, unlike the Shadow Transport Secretary and Nottingham MP, Lilian Greenwood, who remains in post.
