The HS2 Hybrid Bill Select Committee have announced that the visits to Buckinghamshire, due to take place on 20th – 22nd May will now not take place. They were due to visit the constituencies of Amersham and Chesham, Aylesbury, and Buckingham.
On their website. they say
“The Committee is grateful for the understanding of those involved in planning the visits and looks forward to the opportunities to meet local petitioners and hear their views in due course.”
A replacement for Mike Thornton, the LibDem who lost his seat last week, has yet to be selected.
