Mid Cheshire Against HS2, who recently set fire to a mock up of £50 billion pounds to demonstrate the waste which HS2 represents, along with One Voice in Cheshire Against HS2 are organising the event at Wincham Community Centre, Church St, CW9 6EP on Saturday, April 25 at 10.30am.

A spokesman for Mid Cheshire Against HS2 said:
“The event will enable local people to find out the latest news about how HS2 will impact Wincham and the surrounding areas, and everyone is welcome,”
He added:
“We want to bring home to the residents of Wincham & Pickmere, the sheer devastation that both villages will have to cope with if HS2 is built. To bring home to them exactly where the line will run and the severe disruption that will happen during the construction phase. To clearly show how the residents of both villages will suffer for the several years of construction.”
