Birmingham Post reports on yesterday’s High Speed Rail debate.

The Birmingham Post has published an article on the Commons debate on High Speed Rail yesterday.

According to them,  Ms Villiers said that the Coalition government “reserve our position” on the HS2 study published by the previous government.  The public consultation – due to start in the autumn – may be delayed: Ms Villiers said that the government would publish a new timetable “in due course”.

However she said that Ministers are committed to building a High Speed network with trains running at up to 225mph.
